Stay fit with the flexibility to drop into fitness classes with the Group Fitness Program, or take a Recreational Activity or Aquatics Course to learn and develop with individuals of similar skill level.

Group Fitness Passes (Cardinal and Platinum Pass Options)

Mid-quarter pricing on passes is now available; HURRY to get these great discounts!

  • Stanford Recreation and Wellness offers two different pass options available through the Group Fitness Program.  The Cardinal Group Fitness Pass gives access to all non-reservation based classes. The Platinum Group Fitness Pass gives access to all classes available on the Cardinal Group Fitness Pass PLUS reservation based classes for an add-on fee of $50 per quarter. 

  • All participants pay a quarterly fee for either the Cardinal or Platinum Group Fitness Pass to access group fitness classes throughout the quarter. Classes are designed for all fitness levels.

Free Belay Lessons will be held on Monday and Tuesday at 5pm each day for the Summer Quarter.

Family Hours:

  • Children under 18yrs old are allowed to climb during Family Climb time.
  • Participants under 14yrs old cannot belay and must be accompanied by a belay certified adult at all times.
  • Only two participants under 14yrs old are allowed per certified adult.
  • Children under 8yrs old must be under direct supervision by a certified adult at all times in the Climbing Wall (within arms reach).

Women’s-focused and Men’s-focused Training !!!

Stanford Recreation & Wellness is proud to offer a new fitness opportunity. This is a trans-inclusive space. Train on your own, with a friend, or in a group during Women’s-focused Training and Men’s-focused training — both in our private personal training studio, AOERC 112, located at the Arrillaga Outdoor Education & Recreation Center. FREE to join and no prior experience is necessary.
Women’s-focused Training: Mondays & Wednesdays, 1:00PM-3:00 p.m.
Men’s-focused Training: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 2:00-4:00 p.m.

Free Fitness Week

Your next Free fitness classes, on the main Stanford campus, are offered over the eight days starting Wednesday September 4 through 12, sponsored by Stanford Recreation & Wellness (Rec) and the Health Improvement Program (HIP).

Bring a friend and try classes such as 305 Fitness Cardio Dance, Ballet & Barre, Power Yoga, TRX Bootcamp and many more.

  • Participants must have a Stanford-issued ID card to enter the facility.
  • Individuals without Stanford-issued ID cards will be required to pay a day pass fee to participate in FREE Fitness Week.
  • Classes are available on a first-come, first-served basis. There are no class reservations during FREE Fitness Week.
  • You may want to bring a towel and water bottle.

Stanford Aerobics & Yoga (SAY)

The Stanford Aerobics and Yoga (SAY) program offers a wide array of classes taught by energetic, qualified, and approachable instructors. SAY is open to all members of the Stanford community including students, faculty, staff and friends. New students are welcome to start taking classes at any time throughout the year. All of SAY’s classes are held in the Hacienda Commons room in the Rains Graduate Housing complex.

Stanford Aerobics and Yoga is a registered Voluntary Student Organization. As such, Stanford students must make all organizational decisions and hold all leadership positions.  Instructors who are current Stanford students are given priority in class scheduling.  While our classes are open to everyone, our main objective is to serve the Stanford community.
